Updated: Nov 16, 2022
Welcome to the November edition of the Wales Community Food Distribution (WCFD) newsletter. In this newsletter, we will share project updates and the latest events.

Hub Updates...
We’re delighted to announce that Tenby now has a new supplier! We welcome and thank Fresh and Fruity from Milford Haven for supporting this hub!
Also, the Tenby dates have now changed, it’s still fortnightly but collection is on the Thursday. For example order by the 17th November to pick up on the 24th November.
We’re on the lookout for volunteers for our Tenby hub so if you’d like to spend a few hours every fortnight volunteering please email WCFD@planed.org.uk. You will receive training and support within these roles.

Volunteers
We are so excited to say that our first-ever networking day with our hub volunteers went well this month! It was so lovely to catch up with everyone, discuss how the hubs are, how we can support them further and talk about how we will further develop their skills through training.
We know that all hubs would love some extra volunteers for their teams so if you’re interested in volunteering at our Tenby, Lampeter or Pembroke hub please do drop us an email! If you’re a hub volunteer and would like to sign up for our training, please fill in our survey here: Microsoft Forms
Q&A
We’re also delighted with how our recent question and answer session went this month, with a lot of different communities coming together to find out more about the project. There were lots of questions about how it fits in with communities from schools to family centers.
It was great to hear how others could see the food hubs being incorporated into their projects.
If you’d like to see our explanation of the project, check out our animation here; About Us | WCFD
