OUR FOOD PROJECTS
We believe that access to locally supplied food is more important than ever. That is why our aim is to link food producers and suppliers with the local community; to give easy access to healthy and great value food. Explore how we are working with the community, suppliers and volunteers through our food projects.

Communities across Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire will have funded direct support from a Project Development Officer in order to launch sustainable food hubs, which will focus on the needs of communities.

Wales Community Food Distribution (WCFD)
Supporting communities to set up Food Hubs across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.

Supporting communities to set up Food Hubs across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.

Pembrokeshire Fresh Community Vending (PFCV) is a pilot project that will give the opportunity for 24/7 access to Welsh suppliers and locally sourced produce.
Working alongside the current Wales Community Food Distribution project it will operate a flexible, inclusive, environmentally and economically sustainable distribution model, bringing together communities, food producers and suppliers.

Pembrokeshire Fresh Community Vending (PFCV
Piloting Fresh Food Vending Machines Across Pembrokeshire.

The objectives are to build resilience into local food networks through greater coordination of food related activities, creating a more sustainable local system and aiming to tackle the root causes of food poverty.

Pembrokeshire’s Local Food Partnership
PLANED, PAVS and Pembrokeshire County Council are working together to bring a Local Food Partnership Coordinator for Pembrokeshire.
