About the event
The WCFD team are delighted to support the launch of volunteer-run community food hubs to increase access to fresh and great value food.
This event will work to increase access to fresh, great value food. Join us for this volunteer-run community project!
As part of the occasion, we have secured “Pure West Radio” to attend and broadcast updates and interviews live, which will also include special guests such as the Mayor of Pembroke.
As part of the Wales Community Food Distribution pilot programme, delivered PLANED, the project supports volunteers to link with food producers and suppliers and have easy access to healthy and great value food. Community food hubs are a great way to connect people to where food comes from.
Communities across Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire will have direct, funded support from a Project Development Officer in order to launch sustainable food hubs, which will focus on the needs of communities.
