CASE STUDY: Capital Roasters

Updated: Jun 28, 2023

Since 1991 Capital Roasters have been roasting coffee, supplying both local customers and companies across the UK. Their coffee is certified by Pembrokeshire Produce, ensuring the highest quality beans that are grown and harvested with care.

The coffee is roasted fresh at the factory in Pembroke Dock and they also offer a variety of other products such as filter machines, sugars and gourmet syrups.

What is the involvement with the PFCV project?

Capital Roasters have been supplying the community vending machine since March 2023 with bags of Welsh processed and roasted, fresh ground coffee.

What aspect has been most useful?

Capital Roasters recognise that being part of the Pembrokeshire Fresh Community Vending project gives them free advertising, promotion and extra visibility as a business. It reaches out to a potentially new customer base that they may not otherwise have accessed.

What is the result of being involved in the project and the impact on the individual?

There has been a small amount of extra trade and some additional social media coverage. It gives the chance to educate people about the importance of buying locally produced products and supports a community initiative. It’s a win win so far and there’s been no challenges or difficulties in supplying the community vending machine.
